Legacy of Giving Music Festival, which replaces SOHO, takes place in downtown Springfield on June 2nd and 3rd.
The highly anticipated annual charitable event is under new leadership with 70 bands lined up across five stages, room for 50 vendors on the Old State Capitol grounds, food trucks, and a children’s area with inflatables, face painting, games, and more. Organizers are also planning a bocce ball tournament on the Friday night and bags tournament on Saturday night in the non-vendor area of the Old State Cap grounds.
The fund starts at 5pm. While the vendor fair on the Old State Capitol grounds is free, admission to the music festival is $5 per person per day. There is free entry for children 10 and under.
Proceeds from the volunteer-driven event will go to 10 local charities including Compass for kids, Forever Home Feline Ranch, GenHKids, Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County, The Helping Paw, Mary Bryant Home, The Outlet, Stepping out to Cure Scleroderma, and WILD.
