The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating its 148th annual gala on Friday, February 3, 2017, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This year’s event will build upon the momentum of 2016 by providing an opportunity to recognize outstanding leaders, businesses, and volunteers in Sangamon County.
Three Chamber members will be recognized for going above and beyond their nine to five duties and enriching their communities. This will include the chairman’s award, ambassador of the year, and the president’s award.
Chamber president and CEO, Chris Hembrough, said: “Our gala is a unique opportunity to celebrate all that happened last year and look forward to the new year, while at the same time recognizing the people and organizations who help move our community and economy forward. It is through the work of our board and volunteers, business leaders and staff, and the city and county that 2016 was such a significant year.”
Event sponsors include Town and Country Bank (presenting sponsor), CEFCU, The Horace Mann Companies, HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Eck, Schafer & Punk, LLP, Springfield Shooting Center, Martin One Source, Cooper’s Hawk Winery Restaurants, Best Expo, Inc., and ContentWorks LLC.
The event is scheduled from 6pm to 9.30pm. Tickets are $65 or $755 for a table of 10. Contact Bri Coons with any question at 217 525 1173 extension: 216 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
