The Springfield Jr. Blues - a North American Hockey League team - has partnered with a start-up technology company allowing fans to purchase tickets online.
The new platform, created by HappsNow, means fans can now purchase game tickets via web and mobile applications for iPhone and Android. The technology also allows for integrated social media tools and access to discounts.
Dan Ferguson, Springfield Jr. Blues owner and president, said he was excited to be able to offer fans the chance to book online and on their mobile devices. “Our goal is to provide our fans with the best possible experience from purchasing tickets to attending home games at the Nelson Center. We are excited to launch this new platform as we celebrate our 25th anniversary season.”
Ryan McCann, HappsNow president said it was great to work with such a forward-thinking team. “The fact the Springfield Jr. Blues is investing in the latest technology to enhance its fans’ experience and engagement before, during, and after games is a great thing for the league as a whole.”
Springfield fans will be able to download free tickets (limit four per account) to the Springfield Jr. Blues upcoming pre-season contests through HappsNow. Once tickets are downloaded, fans may either print off tickets or show their mobile device at the door for admission.
Tickets for all 28 season games are available for purchase, including the Springfield Jr. Blues 25th Anniversary Opening Night against division rival, Janesville Jets, on September 16th – puck drops at 6.05pm at the Nelson Center. Tickets for regular season contests are $8 for adults and $5 for children (ages three-to-12) when purchased online. Children two and under are free.
