Brian Frieze, President, and Founder of Sangamon Reclaimed in Springfield, IL, has been named an honoree of the 2018 Wood Industry 40 Under 40.
This year marks the third annual awarding of the Woodworking Network’s 40 Under 40, which celebrates the next generation of industry professionals that are making an impact on wood products manufacturing in North America.
Those selected demonstrate excellence in productivity, profitability, social good, ingenuity, peer inspiration, product development, organizational leadership, or another facet of the wood industry.
“Our success at Sangamon Reclaimed is a testament of the work my team puts in each and every day. They each take great pride in their work and it shows in every piece we create for our customers. It goes without saying that in receiving this award I am doing so on behalf of the entire Sangamon Reclaimed team,” said Brian a local firefighter.
"I am honored that Sangamon Reclaimed is being recognized amongst the wood industry's most talented. I am extremely proud to represent Springfield and central Illinois, which has shown overwhelming support since we launched less than five years ago. We will continue to strive to provide our clients with heirloom-quality solid wood furniture made by our team locally. I believe in passing on the history of our pieces and the quality of our craftsmanship to each of our customers for future generations to come.”
Sangamon Reclaimed’s handcrafted furniture is made from wood salvaged from century-old structures from across the Midwest for commercial and residential use in its custom woodshop located at 1315 Ottis Street, Springfield, IL.
Through its Flags for Heroes program, Sangamon Reclaimed gives back to the nation’s heroes. A percentage of the proceeds from each of the barn wood American flags are donated to non-profits that support veterans, firefighters, police officers, and their families.
Brian will be recognized at a reception on Tuesday, August 21, the evening before the International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta.
