Engrained Brewery & Restaurant celebrates five years of success in Springfield, IL this month. To mark the milestone, owners Melissa and Brent Schwoerer have created a 5th-anniversary Farmstand Tripel, a Belgian style beer brewed with blackberry, peach, and raspberry. The Farmstand Tripel will be released on Sunday, August 19 and will be available on tap and bottled to take away in six packs.
“It’s important to celebrate this milestone of five years as a brewery and farm to table restaurant in our hometown of Springfield, IL. We’ve come a long way since opening our doors for the first time and welcoming the loyal guests that we value greatly,” said brewmaster Brent.
Engrained, located at 1120 West Lincolnshire Boulevard next to Scheels, is a full-service farm to table restaurant. The seasonal menu uses beef, pork, cheese, chicken, and eggs from Central Illinois farmers, and features traditional American family-style food such as Black Angus burgers, steaks, salads, and flatbreads.
“We enjoy being part of the community, supporting family farms, and offering nourishing meals with local ingredients to guests living close by or those visiting central Illinois. We are definitely looking forward to our next five years - and beyond,” said Melissa.
To further mark the occasion Engrained will be hosting a five-course beer pairing dinner created by Chef Jordan Ohl. The menu features Andouille sausage, smoked duck, grilled trout, pork shoulder, and farm fresh peaches. Pairings include Engrained Blackberry IPA, Peach Saison, Irish Red, Oatmeal Stout, and the 5th-anniversary Farmstand Tripel.
The pairing dinner takes place on Monday, August 20th; tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased online. Seats are limited.
Engrained opens for lunch and dinner daily and has a large private event space for parties, meetings, and gatherings.
