COUNTRY Financial is awarding 10 college students that have demonstrated excellence in community service from Sangamon, Menard, Macoupin, Montgomery, Cass, Morgan and Greene counties $2,000 each in scholarship cash.
Students may begin applying for the COUNTRY Financial Community Scholarship on January 1st, 2018 until February 28, 2018.
Jay Davis of COUNTRY Financial in Springfield, and regular Eighteen21 contributor, is among those advisors that have come together to offer exemplary and deserving students the chance to secure the new scholarship.
“I work with clients to ensure they, their families, and assets are well protected and so many are doing all they can to provide for their children’s college education so it is a gift this holiday to return the favor for their trust in my services and offer these scholarships to deserving students in Springfield,” said Jay.
Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a non-weighted 4.0 scale, be an extraordinary example of service to others and to the community, will be a full-time student in the coming academic year at an accredited, nonprofit, public/private college/university, or vocational/technical institution, with no limitation as to the location of that institution, and must be a 1st to 4th year college student in the fall of 2018.
