AlignLife of Springfield 5th Annual Toy Drive to benefit Family Service Center Tree of Wishes

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, AlignLife of Springfield Chiropractic & Natural Health Center is working with Family Service Center on its Tree of Wishes initiative, which runs until December 18th.

Cards completed by families that are currently being supported by local organizations participating in the Tree of Wishes are distributed to agencies and partners so that those wishing to take part can select a card and purchase any amount of gifts they would like on the card. The gift does not have to be all items listed on the card or an item for each person listed – whatever you can contribute makes a difference.

Last year AlignLife of Springfield had 100 cards and collected 500 items for 15 local agencies, supported by Family Service Center.

The donated gifts will be given to Springfield residents in the days leading up to Christmas in an effort to bring cheer to those who would otherwise go without this year.

“We are really excited to be working with the Family Service Center again this year. As a business that is thankful for the support we receive from our clients, family and friends, we believe it’s extremely important to give back to those in the community during the holiday season and all year round. The Family Service Center’s annual Tree of Wishes is a great way to do that, and the overwhelming support and donations we received from patients and members of the Springfield community confirm that,” said AlignLife of Springfield owner Dr. Bryne Willey.

Those wishing to donate will have the opportunity to pick cards or drop off donations at the AlignLife of Springfield office located at 2025 West Iles Ave, Suite A, Springfield, 62704. Cards with requested gifts are available at the AlignLIfe reception desk.

“When someone takes the time to pull a name from the Tree of Wishes, they are making an impact not just for the name they’ve chosen, but for the larger community. This one small act of kindness can make the recipient, feel special, remembered, cared about, and isn’t that what all humankind wants? To feel that someone cares. I believe the impact of this kind gesture has a ripple effect which can and does change people, our community, our world,” said Christine Lindsey, Family Service Center Executive Director.
