Second annual Run for Prevention raises more than $3,700 for Health Missions

Health Missions will benefit from the $3,759 raised at the 5K run in Washington Park organized by AlignLife of Springfield Chiropractic & Natural Center.

Dr. Bryne Willey of AlignLife of Springfield, who is a chartered member of Health Missions, said the 5K run attracted a great crowd of participants, volunteers, and supporters.

‘Not only did we raise money for Health Missions, but also we attracted a crowd of runners, joggers, and walkers, some seasoned and others novices, of all ages, who were taking part in a 5K for the first time. This was a good opportunity for members of our community in Springfield and beyond to have fun and exercise with great weather on a Saturday morning in Washington Park.’

Health Missions is a not-for-profit organization, which was established in 2004 to improve exposure of natural healthcare to underprivileged communities, domestically and around the world.

‘Health Missions works to educate the public about natural health opportunities, such as chiropractic care and lifestyle choices to enhance their health and vitality, which is something that we are passionate about at AlignLife of Springfield,’ said Dr. Bryne.

The date for next year’s Run for Prevention will be announced in the coming months.
