The Corkscrew Wine Emporium is a locally owned company in Springfield, IL, which strives to provide the best service in wine, gourmet foods, beer, spirits and cheese from around the world. Established in 1994 by Geoff Bland The Corkscrew Wine Emporium is now owned by Danielle and David Anderson and located at 2613 Chatham Road.
“We help educate our customers by answering questions while they shop, hold various in-store seminars throughout the year, and offer wine dinners at different venues pairing wine with food,” said David.
Each Friday The Corkscrew Wine Emporium has its popular Fridays at Five offering four
white and three red wines to purchase by the glass. Customers can also buy a bottle to
share with friends in the store. On Saturdays $2 tastings are available. The Corkscrew Wine Emporium is also available for gatherings by businesses and organizations.

Spice up the Holidays with Zillions chili seasoning
Richard Zillion created his first chili bowl chili seasoning mix in 1976. The popular seasoning now sells in 36 shops and stores across central Illinois.
Richard, a retired security guard at the Secretary of State, created his first six-ounce mix from spices bought at Bud’s Market. Once he was happy with the seasoning Richard bought enough to bottle the chili mix, four stores in town agreed to put it on their shelves; Noonan’s Hardware, Humphrey’s Market, Springfield Produce, and The Garden.
To his disbelief, it sold right away. “It took off from there,” he said. The chili seasoning is now bottled at Baron Spice in St Louis, Missouri in order to keep up with demand. Since retiring in 2008 Richard and his wife, Judy, began selling the chili seasoning at the farmers’ markets. During spring, summer, and fall the pair sells the blend at the Old Capitol Farmers Market in Downtown Springfield and the Illinois Products Farmers Market at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

Willow City Farm now has a retail location in Springfield where you can purchase Willow City Farm meats and alpaca products, plus other local farmers'; and artists'; clean, locally grown foods and products perfect for the holidays. The Farmstand is situated at 731 South Durkin Drive, Suite D.
