Frye-Williamson Press celebrates 50 years of print
As Frye-Williamson Press enters its 50th year of providing high-quality print communications in central Illinois, in appreciation it is offering Eighteen21 readers, during the 12 Days of Local campaign, a custom 16 x 20 giclee photo stretched canvas for $50.
Frye-Williamson Press uses eco-solvent high-resolution canvas printing, hand-stretched over exceptionally sturdy 1.5” kiln dried poplar frames. This year, why not make a great holiday memory with a personalized, lasting gift to someone special?
Frye-Williamson Press was the result of two of Springfield’s oldest printing establishments merging together in 1968. From the beginning, Frye-Williamson Press has been an innovator in improving the print communication process. The goal has been simple – to make customers look great in print. From postcards to pocket folders, the team at Frye-Williamson Press listens to your needs and develops a customized solution to getting the word out on time. Due to customer feedback over the years, Frye-Williamson Press has expanded its services to include in-house mail processing, large format graphics, and high-speed digital production to complement its multicolor offset printing and full-service finishing capabilities.
Frye-Williamson Press is proud to be a part of the Local First community. Because of the support from those living in and around Springfield the business continues to grow. As Frye-Williamson Press looks forward to the next 50 years, it will continue to invest in print – the ‘original social media.’
Gem PR & Media spearheads Local First campaigns
Gem PR & Media has spearheaded two Local First Springfield campaigns as 2017 draws to a close. Gemma and Chris Long own the public relations and media company, headquartered on the west side of Springfield, Illinois. The husband and wife team returned to the city in 2014 to make Springfield their home, to raise their family, and invest in the community.
The company works with organizations that range from The Real Estate Group to Engrained Brewery & Restaurant and Sensible Innovations to Warren Boynton State Bank, which are all locally owned and operated.
“We were so excited to get involved with Local First Springfield and develop the concept for two campaigns towards the end of this year, which both highlight the importance of buying local and spending your hard earned cash right here in the great city of Springfield,” said Gemma, 34. “We worked with Local First Springfield, The City of Springfield, and Mid West Family Broadcasting to produce a weeklong social media, video and radio campaign in the run-up to Thanksgiving. We also worked with more than 50 local businesses to produce 12 days of local guide to buying local in our free online lifestyle magazine, eighteen21.com –we hope you enjoy.”
