Isringhausen Imports the local choice for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Volvo

Founded in 1981, Isringhausen Imports, located in downtown Springfield, Illinois, is well known amongst locals. Some 35 years ago car enthusiast Rob Isringhausen imported a handful of European luxury cars to Springfield and the dealership was born. Rob was motivated by a genuine love of exotic cars and the desire to share them with other like-minded individuals at a time when such vehicles were rare in the area.

Now, the dealership employs approximately 120 people. As a family-owned company, that has its roots in Springfield, the Isringhausen team is proud to live and work in the community it serves.
“Longtime customers, many of whom have been with Isringhausen since the beginning, have passed their love of fine automobiles to a new generation of drivers who intuitively understand that cars are more than just transportation; they are an expression of the people who drive them,” said a spokesperson.

Isringhausen’s physical footprint has grown significantly over the years to encompass multiple city blocks. “The Isringhausen’s way of doing business is to provide excellent vehicles at fair prices, combined with service that goes above and beyond what anyone would expect from a typical car dealership.” Isringhausen is an authorized dealer of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volvo vehicles.

PJP Auto Enterprises

Paul and Janette Peak, a husband and wife team opened PJP Auto Enterprises, Inc. on October 17, 2002. The building was previously a NAPA store. PJP Auto repaired, detailed, and sold cars all in the same space until 2006 when Springfield experienced a devastating tornado.
After the tornado, Paul and Janette decided to rebuild. They purchased the Jiffy Lube to the east of their current location and remodeled, adding offices. However, in 2010, they experienced a detrimental fire that engulfed the entire building. In the days after the fire, Paul and Janette ran PJP Auto from a borrowed motor home, and finally a double-wide trailer they rented for almost a year while waiting for the new construction to be completed.

PJP Autos now employs and supports the families of 16 people and sells over 600 used vehicles each year. After 15 years of business, Paul and Janette are thankful for the Springfield community and its continued support.
